INVESTORS from Sydney and Melbourne are eyeing off a strong-performing car wash in Toowoomba's southern suburbs.
The Baywash Southside site on Ruthven St in Kearneys Spring has hit the market again through LJ Hooker, after a previous contract on the property fell through.
Lead agent Chris Stewart said the re-release to the market recently had already drawn significant interest from smaller interstate investment firms looking to buy into regional centres.
"Investments are strong - the basis of everything that's transacting right now is investment stock," he said.
"It's those small to medium-sized investment firms that are investing in brick and mortar again.
"The interest (in the site) is from Sydney, Melbourne - they are astute investors who are looking at regional centres.
"(Since COVID-19), they're now reverting to regional centres and are feeling positive with their cumulative incomes from them.
"That's industrial, retail and office stock - it's across the board."
The 24-hour car wash features seven wash bays, three vacuum bays and other assets like a coin machine.
Mr Stewart said Toowoomba was popular with investors right now due to the continued federal investment in the region.
"The biggest thing going for the Toowoomba is the federal spending underpinning the economy," he said.
"If the Federal Government is spending money in an area, there is some good quality opportunities."
