A Northern Rivers man may face potential jail time after he entered a guilty plea for an “aggravated” break and enter.

Stirling Daniel James Eggmolesse fronted Lismore District Court on Monday, July 26, via Kempsey Correctional Facility videolink for his arraignment over a 2019 break and enter.

The court heard Eggmolesse was charged with entering a Banora Point home in June 2019 and committing an indictable offence, namely larceny, in the circumstances of aggravation, that being in the company of others.

He pleaded guilty for the sole charge as the court lined up a sentence date.

The Crown Prosecutor said Eggmolesse had been in custody for this matter for around 12 months and asked Judge Jeffery McLennan take that into consideration.

He also asked if a sentencing assessment report could be ordered for the next court date.

Judge Jeffery McLennan adjourned the matter for sentencing on September 27.
