A Northern Rivers woman who defecated in the back of a police van after being arrested for spitting on a Service NSW worker will face jail for the “vulgar” crime.

Baryulgil woman, Lyniv Grace Gordon, fronted Lismore Local Court on Monday July 5 via videolink charged with resisting an officer in the execution of duty, destroying and damaging property, and common assault.

She pleaded guilty to all three charges.

According to court documents, on May 11 about 3pm, Gordon fronted a Grafton Service NSW Centre.

Before the ticket booth staff member could respond to Gordon, she unleashed a verbal tirade, shouting words to the effect of ‘you’re a white c***, you don’t own the store, you just work here’.

She then stormed off, but returned shortly, proceeding to the rear of the centre, “slamming” down her licence and asked a female staff member to check her licence.

Police will allege when the woman said she wasn’t certified in that area, Gordon’s aggression continued calling the staff member a slut.

It was then the manager came out and told Gordon repeatedly to leave.

As Gordon got to the door, police will allege she then spat at the ticket booth staff member before leaving.

It was during her arrest for that incident, that police will allege Gordon resisted police and damaging NSW Police Force property.

According to court documents, when police approached her home on July 2 and told her she was under arrest she shouted’ no get f***ed’ and began to run.

While police caught her, she continued resisting police and they eventually were forced to lift Gordon into the van.

Police will allege they then drove to Casino Police Station, where upon arriving, she announced to them, ‘I’ve got a piece of s*** for you both’, holding her own faeces towards officers.

Police then drove her to Lismore Police Station where she further resisted custody, punching a bin which “shattered into numerous pieces”.

During her Monday appearance, solicitor Paul Cranney said Gordon was on an incorrect dose of medication at the time of the Service NSW assault.

“Your Honour can see these are the actions of an unwell person,” he said.

“They’re quite similar in characteristic, with no planning and a high level of vulgarity.

“In relation to the offence at the Service Centre, she wasn’t being served and took that personally.

“She tells me she’s apologetic for her behaviour.”

Magistrate Jeff Linden said the staff member needed to have a blood test for the assault as he feared contracting hepatitis C and deemed the resist of police “serious”.

Given that, he convicted Gordon on all charges and sentenced her to two months jail.

The fixed term will expire September 4.
