Police confirmed they received numerous calls in relation to a birthday party held on the Far North Coast on Wednesday night.

Seven people have been found to be in breach of Public Health Orders when police raided a birthday party on the Far North Coast yesterday.
According to a NSW Police spokeswoman, shortly after 9pm on Wednesday (August 18), Tweed/Byron Police received numerous calls in relation to a house party in Robin St, South Golden Beach, about 30km north of Byron Bay.
Upon arrival, a 54-year-old woman told police a number of couples were gathering for a birthday party inside.
Officers entered the home and located six other people inside, some were hiding under bedding and behind a garden shed to avoid police detection.
All seven people – aged between 29 and 61 – were issued with $1000 PINs for breaching the Public Health Order.
Police are conducting further inquiries into other persons who were present at the party and ran from the home when police arrived.
The spokeswoman said PINs issued in the 24 hours to 12.01am Thursday were: 14 for the Tweed/Byron region and nine for Richmond Police District.
