Lismore man John William Alcorn faces 56 child sex abuse charges
Fresh charges have been laid against a former NSW scout leader who is now facing 56 sex abuse charges related to 10 boys.

Three more alleged victims have come forward in the historical child sex abuse case against a former Lismore scout leader – bringing the number to 10 boys.
John William Alcorn, 82, appeared via video link before Lismore Local Court from custody at Long Bay Correctional Complex for charge certification and committal mention for 56 child sex abuse charges.
The Ballina man peered into the camera, struggling to see, with his assisted-walker in the background of the video.
Police will allege Mr Alcorn sexually and indecently assaulted 10 boys as young as five years old several times between 1960 and 2003 in Lismore and Casino while performing duties as a scout volunteer and a Boys’ Brigade volunteer.
Alcorn is alleged to have had sexual intercourse with a boy as young as five without consent in 1991 and sexual intercourse without consent with a boy as young as eight in 1994.
Richmond Police District established Strike Force Erldunda in 202 to investigate reports a man had been sexually and indecently assaulted as a child.
Police will state that during the investigation a further six men came forward alleging Mr Alcorn had sexually and indecently assaulted them.
Magistrate Jeff Linden adjourned the matter until October 26 for charge certification where Mr Alcorn will appear again via video link in the Lismore court.
Mr Alcorn was arrested in Ballina in September last year, and has remained in custody on remand.
He has been refused bail.
