Two Ballina brothers involved in a Byron Bay stabbing have entered pleas to new charges after grievous bodily harm offences were dropped.

A case against two Ballina brothers involved in a stabbing attack will soon proceed to sentence.
Jarett and Tory Martin-Manton, aged 25 and 24, pleaded guilty in Lismore District Court on Monday to reckless wounding in the company of another.
According to police, the pair were involved in a fight in Apex Park in Byron Bay in the early hours of September 20, 2020.
During the fight, the brothers stabbed Gregory Martin, causing “extensive” wounds to his back, chest and neck.
Court documents state both brothers were armed with broken glass during the attack - Tory Martin-Manton with a broken Jack Daniels bottle and Jarett Martin-Manton with “broken glass”.
Previous charges of causing grievous bodily harm to a person with intent and wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm were withdrawn in July in Tweed Heads Local Court.
The court heard the duo were now ready to proceed to sentence.
Judge Jeffrey McLennan adjourned sentencing to November 5.
Both Jarett and Tory Martin-Manton will remain on bail and appear via AVL link for the November date.
