A man accused of robbery and kidnapping at Casino Golf Club will fight his charges.

Kempsey man Elwyn Roberts faced arraignment in Lismore District Court on Monday over the alleged 2017 event.

Police will allege Mr Roberts was one of five men who broke into the golf club on the night of November 12, 2017.

Police claim the five men were armed with a machete and iron bars when they entered the West St club in Casino, before threatening two male employees.

It was estimated the trial could take seven days.
