A wanted Lismore man was allegedly found hiding in a tree after he crashed a car into a ditch during a police pursuit which involved a Polair helicopter.
Codie Hartman Bradley, 22, faced Lismore Local Court in custody on Sunday and pleaded not guilty to a string of charges.
Tweed-Byron officers tried to pull over a Subaru Impreza sedan at Kyogle Rd, Uki about 11.20pm on Saturday, according to NSW Police.
It’s alleged the car driven by Bradley did not stop and a pursuit began.
Police state the chase was terminated by police soon after because of speed and Bradley’s alleged dangerous driving.
The car was then seen by Richmond Police officers around Tuntable Falls.
A police helicopter was called in and its alleged Bradley continued to keep on the move to avoid being intercepted.
It’s alleged Bradley lost control of the car on Woodlawn Rd, Lismore and the vehicle ended up stuck in a ditch by the side of the road.
Police allege Bradley bolted into nearby scrub and hid in the bushes.

He was arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station, where he was refused bail to face the court.
Bradley has pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving recklessly/furiously/dangerously and one count each of police pursuit, breaching a domestic violence order and disqualified driving.
Additionally, he has also denied using a weapon to prevent lawful detention, resisting or hindering police after being wanted on two separate warrants, assaulting police, driving a stolen car, damaging property, failing to give particulars and two counts of drug possession.
Bradley’s case has been adjourned to May 13.
