An angry crowd took to the streets of Casino following the death of a mother who allegedly suffered a vicious bashing.
Police have confirmed Jamikka Olive, 28, also known as Jamikka Binge, was allegedly assaulted by a group weeks earlier.
Ms Olive was allegedly set upon by a group of people at Casino RSM Club on June 23.
Ms Olive’s family claimed publicly on social media the attack left her with widespread bruising and injuries. It is understood Ms Olive was hospitalised.
Ms Olive’s family allege persons unknown went to a Casino home over the weekend and intimidated her while she was home with her mother, terrifying her.
On Friday July 28, Ms Olive died following a medical complication, believed to have been a seizure.
Ms Olive’s family have alleged the seizure occurred as a result of alleged intimidation against her following the assault in June.
A NSW police spokesman said the State Coroner will have to determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile, an angry crowd gathered outside a home they believed to be linked to one of Ms Olive’s attackers in Casino about 8pm on Monday night.
Police were called and dispersed the crowd, it has been confirmed.
In the chaos, a woman allegedly assaulted a police officer and damaged a marked police car. She has since been charged.
