A Casino man who broke into his ex-partner’s home while on parole for assaulting her has fronted Lismore District Court.
Bruce Samuel Walker, 41, appeared before the court on Monday for mention charged with breaking and entering the Goonellabah dwelling of his former partner, with the intent to intimidate, on July 6, 2020.
Police said the woman phoned Triple 0 and hid under a bed when the accused was inside the house.
During previous court mentions, it was heard the event “took place while he was on parole for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, to the same alleged victim”.
On Monday, Walker pleaded guilty to the sole charge.
Solicitor Rachel Thampapillai said her client was now ready to be sentenced and that a sentencing assessment report had already been ordered.
Given that, Judge Jeffrey McLennan adjourned the matter for sentencing on September 3.
Walker will be remanded in custody until that date.
