Boy hit by car in South Lismore transported to Lismore Base Hospital

Witnesses reported a bus and 4WD parked near the child.

Update 4.20pm: A NSW Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the child was transported to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.

NSW Police confirmed a 13-year old boy was hit by a car in Crown St near Elliot Road on Thursday around 3.40pm.

A NSW Police spokeswoman did not have details regarding the driver of the car involved.

“Enquiries continue,” she said.

Original story: Paramedics were called to South Lismore to attend to a boy hit by a car.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed two crews were sent just after 3.30pm to Crown St.

“A boy was hit by a car in that area,” he said.

“He has grazes on his elbows and hip, but paramedics are still evaluating him and a decision to take him to hospital has not been made yet.”

Paramedics were not been able to confirm the child’s age.

Witnesses reported a bus and 4WD parked near the child who was being comforted until the paramedics arrived.

Others were helping divert traffic until police arrived.

NSW Police was also in attendance.
