IF ONE of your New Year's Resolutions was to get in shape, Lismore City Council's new 24-hour gym SWITCH is running a promotion you might be interested in.

The promotion, called New Year, New Goals, New You, has some great specials to join the gym in 2016.

Located at Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre, SWITCH offers both personalised gym services as well as the opportunity for people to workout 24/7.

SWITCH features a modern and spacious gym floor with full gym facilities, a brand new functional training centre and over 40 group fitness classes each week.

As part of the promotion, SWITCH is offering people the chance to buy a 12 or 18-month premium membership at a discounted rate.

The premium membership includes full gym access as well as entry to all group fitness classes, so you can pick and choose what works best for you.

The premium membership also gives you the chance to choose between two state-of-the art swimming pools, with access to the Goonellabah pool and the Lismore Memorial Baths.

A 12-month premium membership is $18.50 per week, while an 18-month premium membership is $17 per week.

When you sign up you also get a one-month membership for a friend, which they can use at any time, Gym Manager Roberta O'Brien said.

"This promotion is about giving people the opportunity to make a commitment at the start of the year and see that through," she said.

"Often beginning something is the hardest part of making a choice to get healthy.

"Once you join the gym, make new friends and start having fun, it quickly becomes something you look forward to.

Ms O'Brien said both deals also include an extra incentive: one month extra free with the 12-month membership and three months extra free with the 18-month membership, plus one month free for a friend.

The New Year, New Goals, New You promotion runs until the end of February.
