You can now follow news from your local region on The Daily Telegraph's vastly improved app which is free to download.

You can follow news from your local region, including Lismore, Grafton, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay and Tweed Heads.

After you download the app, make sure you go through the personalisation steps to ensure you are getting the news from the regions you are most interested in.

You can customise My News Feed to stay across local news, other topics you may be interested in, and even follow journalists or opinion writers you particularly like.

If you follow regional sections, they will appear on your app each day under the top news of the day.

You can also put in your local postcode to ensure stories from your area are featured.

Local coverage will appear under a curated list of the top 20 latest articles from across New South Wales.
