A Murwillumbah mum is struggling to keep her eyes open today after a sleepless night planning what she’ll do with her massive Keno win.

She bought her Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry on Monday, July 26, at the Murwillumbah Services Memorial Club, and picked up a grand total of $196,891.90.

She plays Keno regularly, and earlier had a “little win”, which she decided to replay because she “felt lucky”.

“I didn’t sleep much last night. I was so excited,” she said.

“I just didn’t think it was true to begin with. I was so happy.”

With almost $200,000 about to hit her bank account, she said it would set her up for the future.

“It has come at a really good time,” she said.

“I am going to pay a few bills and put the rest in the bank for now, and I will help out my parents.”

The winning Keno entry was purchased at Murwillumbah Services Memorial Club, 10 Wollumbin Street, Murwillumbah.

Murwillumbah Services Memorial Club CEO Guy Diven said it had been a couple of years since their last major win.

“Our members and staff on duty were ecstatic to think that someone in our club has won a life-changing amount,” he said.

“Our venue has a strong history of selling large winning entry tickets over its 30-year association with Keno.

“Congratulations to the winner! We hope she really enjoys her prize.”
