Major roadwork will get under way on the Pacific Motorway near the South Tweed Heads interchange from Sunday.
Drivers have been advised there will be changed overnight traffic conditions in the area so that concrete slab replacement work can be done.
Existing concrete pavement on the northbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway will be removed and replaced from Sunday, with traffic diverted onto Darlington Drive.
To minimise impact to motorists, work will be carried out over six nights from 6pm to 3am, finishing at 3am on Friday, May 15, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
