THE second Lismore Recycled Market is on this Saturday from 9am to 2pm at the Lismore Recycling and Recovery Centre.
The first market in March was a great success and Council plans to develop a new attraction each month so there is always something different for visitors to experience.
Waste Education Officer Danielle Hanigan said the March market featured cooking demonstrations with leftovers, and the April market will feature a special antiques sale.
“We are showcasing and selling a shipping container full of the antiques we have kept aside over the past few years from the Revolve Shop,” she said.
“There will be some really unique pieces on offer.
“We have been stashing this stuff away for ages.
“We decided to hoard some unusual pieces because we knew the Recycled Market was coming and we thought it would be great to make an antiques sale one of our monthly attractions.
“Every now and then some pretty amazing stuff comes through the Revolve Shop.”
The Lismore Recycled Market runs from 9am to 2pm with food, coffee, music and a free recycled craft space to keep the kids entertained.
“We will have different food stalls at each market, as well as different stallholders to ensure that whenever visitors return, the market offers something new and interesting,” Ms Hanigan said.
“We were thrilled with the success of the first market and we have sorted out some parking and access issues, so the second market will be even better.
“The day is free and there are some really extraordinary things to be found.”
The Lismore Recycled Market features furniture, household items, fashion, jewellery, art and sculpture as well as new surprises each month.
