Lismore man dies in hospital after alleged assault
An elderly Lismore man who suffered head injuries after an alleged assault has died in hospital. Here’s what is known.

An 89-year-old man taken to Lismore Base Hospital after an alleged assault at a home late last month has died.
Richmond Police District officers were called to a home on Keen St, Girards Hill, about 12.45pm on September 30, and found the homeowner suffering critical head injuries.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital for treatment of multiple fractures.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the time and remains before the courts.
On Saturday, investigators were advised the man had died in hospital.
Investigations under Strike Force Nemesia are ongoing while a report will be prepared for the coroner.
