Lismore committee appointments

LISMORE'S "progressive" councillors have dominated appointments to county councils and committees, picking up nearly three times as many as "conservatives".

NEW Lismore Deputy Mayor Simon Clough, along with Greens councilor Vanessa Ekins, will represent the council on Rous Water after being elected to the position by fellow councillors.

The Rous Water appointments were only two of a host of appointments made last night, as Lismore councillors decided who would represent them on three county councils, eight external organizations, and lead seven Lismore City Council committees.

Councillors from the "progressive" side of the council chamber dominated the night, receiving a total 33 appointments, to the "conservatives" 12 - almost three times as many.
