A GLITTERING red carpet awards ceremony held in Vietnam was worlds away from the peaceful hills of Brooklet, which is home to Gaia Spa & Retreat.

But the Gaia directors were more than happy to be there.

At the 2015 World Spa Awards ceremony, held in Danang, Vietnam, Gaia Retreat & Spa took out the titles of World's Best Day Spa and Oceania's Best Day Spa.

The awards aim to recognise industry leaders in an effort to drive up standards within the spa industry.

Gaia directors Gregg Cave, Olivia Newton-John, Ruth Kalnin and Warwick Evans attributed the achievement to the dedication of their passionate staff.

"Words cannot express how excited we are to have been honoured with the title of World's Best Day Spa 2015," Olivia Newton-John and Gregg Cave said in a statement.

"Each year Gaia lifts the bar, just that notch higher.

"We feel incredibly blessed and grateful."

In its 10 years of operation, Gaia has notched up a swag of awards and now ranks amongst the best in the world.

Fortunately for locals, Gaia Spa & Retreat is just around the corner.
