Free fitness classes

FREE fitness classes at GSAC this Saturday.

THERE"S a very simple reason to keep motivated and active during winter.

"Exercise is medicine," says Julie Speidel, the Fitness Team Leader at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre.

"It really helps to keep you healthy during the winter months."

Julie is inviting people to a Group Fitness Class launch this Saturday, June 23 where people can try classes for free between 8am and 11.45am.

"We run a series of half hour classes to give people a taste of each class to show and encourage them how to keep moving and stay fit through winter," Julie said.

"Prevention is always better than cure and exercise is a big part of that. It keeps your mind and your body healthy plus it's lots of fun. Our Group Fitness Class launch is a great chance to try things for free with no obligation and see what works for you as an individual."

People can try Zumba plus a whole range of popular Les Mills classes such as BodyBalance, BodyPump, Sh'bam and spin cycle classes.

There is a free crèche from 8am to 11.30am so mums and dads can come along plus a special guest appearance and a prize for the best dressed in an Australians Olympic theme.

For more information phone the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre on 6625 5370 or simply turn up on the day.
