UPDATE 2.05pm: Huge light stands and cranes carrying giant light filters dominated Spinks Park today as filming for a new Netflix series took place.
The park was closed to the public, but there were plenty of people trying to catch a glimpse of the action.
One onlooker said security guards told him he couldn't take photos of proceedings.
Another security guard said: "you can't go into the park, they're filming".
Hollywood actress Melissa McCarthy stars in the show with husband Ben Falcone, who also created it.
Support trucks line Molesworth St and production crews were set up behind the museum building to support filming.

Barricades have been erected to restrict parking along Molesworth St in front of the museum building, and the parking area behind it.
Trucks delivered a variety of equipment to the site on Tuesday afternoon ahead of filming.
