TIME is running out for Lennox Head's Tippett family to avoid deportation so they are calling for legal advice to help prepare their case before they are sent home to England in three weeks.

Six months after moving to Australia in 2011 when their daughter Sienna was just 10 months, the family noticed she was wobbly on her feet and her speech was slurred.

A plethora of tests by numerous medical specialists has failed to diagnose Sienna's condition, resulting in the family of five being refused permanent residency in November 2015, as a medical report labelled her "a burden to the Australian community”.

This caused Sienna's father Kai and mother Hayley Niedzielska to apply to Immigration Minister Peter Dutton to overturn the deportation order.

"Basically we have got 21 days left to get all of our paperwork submitted onto Peter Dutton's desk before we are deported,” Ms Niedzielska said.

"We are busily trying to get all of our paperwork together and would really appreciate legal advice from a solicitor to prepare our documents and a covering letter.”

Meanwhile, an Australian-first clinical whole-genome sequencing service launched in Sydney yesterday maybe the key the family needs to identify Sienna's condition.

"That's something we will definitely look into because we had looked at it before but it could be only done in Germany...so that's great news,” Ms Niedzielska said.

If you can help the Tippett family legally call 6620 0539 or 6620 0554.
