Man in his 80s transported to hospital after car rollover at Bruxner Highway near Casino

Update 3.30pm: A man in his 80s has been transported to Lismore Base Hospital by NSW Ambulance crews.

A spokesman for NSW Ambulance said the patient was on a stable condition, and presented arm and leg injuries.

A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed an 81-year-old man was driving a Subaru Impreza when the car fell into an embankment at the Bruxner Highway.

“The man will undergo mandatory testing, inquiries are ongoing,” she said.

The NSW Transport Management Centre confirmed the Bruxner Highway has been cleared in the vicinity of Sextonville Road, just outside Casino, with traffic flowing normally in both directions.

Original story: Emergency services are currently attending to a man whose car rolled over on the Bruxner Highway Thursday afternoon.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed they received the emergency call just after 2pm.

“At the single car rollover, our crews are treating a male whose age has not been disclosed yet,” he said.

“He has chest pain and a head injury.”

Three crews are at the scene, two of paramedics and a medical team.

NSW Police are also in attendance.

The NSW Transport Management Centre confirmed the incident happened near the intersection of Sextonville Road, just outside Casino, with traffic affected in both directions.

People driving around that area was advised to exercise caution and reduce speed.
