Dyraaba teen flown to Lismore after falling from roof

Suffering head, neck and possible spinal injuries the teen was rescued from the remote location and flown to hospital.

A teenager is lucky to be alive after falling from a roof on a property 30 kilometres northwest of Casino on Tuesday.

NSW Paramedics were called to an address on Parkes Road in Dyraaba shortly after 3pm.

They located and attended to a 19-year-old man who had sustained an injury to the back of his head.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called in ten minutes later on suspicion the man also sustained spinal injuries.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter critical care team discovered and treated the man for chest injuries and possible spinal injuries.

He was stabilised and flown to Lismore Base Hospital for further specialist treatment.
