DRIVER ALERT: 2 crashes on roads today, take extra care

Firefighters and ambulance paramedics have attended the scene of a car rollover north of Lismore on Tuesday morning.

An 18-year-old driver has walked away uninjured from a car rollover on the Northern Rivers earlier today.

Motorists are advised to take extra care on the Northern Rivers roads today with emergency services currently attending two incidents.

On Tuesday March 9, 2021, the Rural Fire Service FiresNearMe website reported crews have responded to two incidents, one understood to be a rollover on Rock Valley Rd, Rock Valley, north of Lismore, and the other at Gibbon St, Lennox Head.

According to the RFS, firefighters were alerted around 7am today of a crash at 900 Rock Valley Rd, Rock Valley.

It is not known how many vehicles are involved, but it is understood that Fire and Rescue Lismore have sent a crew to assist with a fuel spill.

Ambulance NSW confirmed one crew had been dispatched to the Rock Valley incident to reports of a car rollover.

Ambulance assessed an 18 year old man and he was not transported to hospital.

Meanwhile, around 7am today, firefighters are dealing with a reported vehicle fire at Gibbon St, Lennox Head.

According to the FiresNearMe the incident is under control.

Ambulance NSW confirmed that they were asked to attended this incident.

Drivers in those areas are advised to allow for extra travel time.
