A sand sculpture at a Byron Bay beach asking Bianca for her hand in marriage has locals curious to learn the outcome of this romantic gesture.

ROMANTIC: Someone has created a romantic proposal at Belongil Beach.

If your name is Bianca, then be prepared for people asking if you’re engaged, after a sand sculpture with a proposal went viral on social media.

Byron Shire Council posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday, saying staff saw this sandy proposal at Belongil Beach on Monday, and they couldn't resist sharing.

So who is Bianca and what was her answer?
