YOUNG patients at St Vincent’s Private Hospital had a very special visitor this week, with Santa Claus and his trusty elf stopping in to hand out sweets and spread holiday cheer.

The red-suited man made his way through the wards of the hospital yesterday as part of an annual tradition stretching back to the 1920s.

Stanthorpe brothers Jaspa and Brax Ford were on Santa’s list, as they waited while their mother was in the maternity ward.

St Vincent’s has enjoyed a visit from Father Nick since the hospital opened in 1923, with old newspaper reports marking the occasion.

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas
