Celebrate Christmas in Lismore CBD

THE Lismore Business Panel is helping to spread the Christmas spirit with free activities and Christmas fun in the Lismore CBD.

THE Lismore Business Panel is helping to spread the Christmas spirit with free activities and Christmas fun in the Lismore CBD.

Two 'Christmas trees' have been erected in the CBD - one at Toy Kingdom in Woodlark Street and the other at The Book Warehouse/Toy World in Keen Street - for children to help decorate.

These are in fact a native species (Elaeocarpus Eumundii) but have the shape of a traditional Christmas tree. Decorations are available for free from Toy Kingdom, Toy World and The Book Warehouse. Woodlark Street also features Santa's chair and Keen Street boasts Santa's sleigh.

Other activities include theatre performances, animal and reptile shows, visits by Santa and free children's fun such as jumping castles and face painting.

"We want to come and enjoy our CBD and spend money locally," City Centre Manager Jason Mumford said.

"There is no need to go outside of Lismore for great Christmas gifts - we have everything you could possibly want right here.

"There is no better Christmas gift for local businesses than to shop and socialise locally this festive season."
