ONE of the region's most vibrant and colourful markets has become more accessible thanks to a new Lismore shuttle bus route.
The Channon Markets and Quinn's Bus Service have organised a shuttle bus to operate each market day between Lismore and The Channon, providing locals with an opportunity to visit the regional event.
The new partnership will link the local community to 'arts and crafts, second hand goods, regional cuisine and children's activities', market co-ordinator Robyn Kelly said.
“It will provide transport to people with no vehicle in a region with no public transport on the weekends who want a day out,” she said.
“There are over 250 stalls at the markets which have second hand goods, arts and crafts, fresh produce, live entertainment and a charity of the month.”
The bus will run every second Sunday of the month, stopping at Goonellabah, Lismore, South Lismore and North Lismore. It will operate for a six month trial. The bus will depart at 9am, returning at 2pm. Bookings on 0427282138.
