AN EXPERIENCED developer in the Toowoomba region has nearly completed his latest shopping project in a fast-growing area.
Harold Crane said he expects to see the five-shop precinct on the New England Highway in Highfields to be finished by September.
Three of the five tenancies are already filled, with one shop featuring the new Lifeline store.
Mr Crane said Highfields still had massive potential for future growth.
"It's at the stage where the front doors and glass are in, so it's pretty recognisable now," he said.
"In March 2018 is when I first started to talk (about developing it).
"The building itself started in February this year.
"The growth potential (in Highfields) is enormous."
Mr Crane said the development was worth about $1.3 million, with construction completed by local team Kev Morris Builder.
Other secured tenants include a real estate agency and florist.
