BOM predicts unseasonal weather could bring severe thunderstorms
The Bureau of Meteorology says a cold front could bring unseasonal severe thunderstorms to the region, and we should be prepared.

Winter may be on our doorstep, but summer may well have it’s last hurrah with a late season storm outbreak across NSW and ACT.
Bureau of Meteorology Senior Forecaster, Jake Phillips said parts of eastern New South Wales may see severe thunderstorms tomorrow (Tuesday), which could possibly bring heavy rainfall, damaging winds and even hail.
The most likely areas are currently forecast to be around the northeastern section of the state, with forecasters saying it was possible a Severe Thunderstorm Warning may be issued for that region.
Isolated thunderstorms may also affect some parts of the state’s northeast and southern inland today (Mon) as the system approaches but are not expected to be severe.
The possible thunderstorm outbreak was being caused by a cold front and associated cold pool that were currently approaching New South Wales from the southwest.
Severe thunderstorms are unusual in New South Wales and the ACT at this time of year, which mean people are less likely to be prepared.
