If you bought a lottery ticket from Bogangar Post Office, check your numbers, because you may be the missing $100,000 winner.

A Bogangar resident or visitor may have started off their week as normal without checking their Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket and discovering they’re $100,000 richer.

The northeastern New South Wales winner won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10462, drawn Monday 24 May 2021.

The ticket is unregistered, so officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to reveal the exciting news and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased at Bogangar Post Office & Newsagency, 47 Coast Road, Bogangar.

Bogangar Post Office & Newsagency owner Brent Hayward said he hoped the winner checked their winning ticket soon.

“That’s fantastic! We just found out the news,” he said.

“We’re hoping it’s a local, but we’re happy for the winner regardless.

Mr Howard said they had been busy as “everyone will be coming to check their tickets.”

“We haven’t sold a first prize entry before (and) we’re hoping for a winning streak.

“We would like to say congratulations to the fortunate winner and wish them the very best.”

The Lott spokeswoman Anna Hobdell said she was eager to unite the first prize winner with their prize.

“This winner is likely going by their Monday with absolutely no idea they’ve just won $100,000,” she said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket from Bogangar Post Office & Newsagency to check their tickets today.

“It would be a great start to the week for the winner (and) perhaps they would find Monday’s not so bad after all.”

Ms Hobdell said if someone believes they have the winning ticket, they should contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming their prize.

Last financial year, Australia’s Official Lotteries contributed more than $1.4 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
