RESTORATION work on Blue Knob Road is now completed between Blade and Cemetery roads north of Nimbin.

Lismore MP Thomas George said the $620,400 project was funded by the NSW Government's Road Toll Response Package.

"The program targets areas with high crash histories to make them safer and prevent future crashes," Mr George said.

"While the road toll has been reducing during the past decade, there are still too many people dying on NSW roads.

"State and local governments worked together to secure this funding.

"As a result, the road's shoulders have been widened and curve advisory makers and guardrail installed.

"The work will improve travel conditions and road safety for motorists, especially in wet weather conditions," Mr George said.

The work was carried out by Lismore City Council.
