Aaron Pocklington: Trial date set to defend affray, weapon charges after death of Lachlan Andrews
A Northern Rivers man will wait a year to contest charges over his alleged involvement in a brawl at Casino KFC which resulted in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old boy.

A Northern Rivers man continues to remain on conditional bail over his alleged involvement in the stabbing death of Canberra teen Lachlan Andrews at Casino KFC in 2022.
Aaron John Pocklington, now 20, was listed for mention in Lismore District Court before Judge Jonathan Priestley on Wednesday.
Pocklington entered a plea of not guilty on September 18 last year to charges of affray and using an offensive weapon in company with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Mr Pocklington is not accused of stabbing Lachlan Andrews and is not charged with causing his death.
Pocklington must stay at an East Lismore address between 10pm-6am daily.
He has also been banned from entering the Casino KFC where Lachlan Andrews died, or its carpark, and ordered not to contact prosecution witnesses.
Emergency services were called to the busy KFC restaurant on Centre Street in Casino on May 29, 2022 after reports of a brawl involving about 20 youths.
On arrival, officers from Richmond Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics found multiple teenagers with stab wounds.
Canberra man Lachlan Andrews, 17, suffered multiple fatal stab wounds.
Lachlan was working on flood-impacted properties when he was tragically killed.
The victim’s mother Linda Pridham previously revealed she learned about her son’s death via smartphone app Snapchat.
“My other daughter rang to tell me because it was on Snapchat … she told me Lachlan had been stabbed and didn’t make it,” Ms Pridham said.
Pocklington is listed for a readiness hearing on August 7 in preparation for his trial which is scheduled for March next year.
