Former foreign minister Julie Bishop and Hollywood heavyweights Hugh Jackman and Kate Walsh have featured in a hilarious video spruiking a Western Australian mining company.

Bishop’s role is part of her plum new job with Mineral Resources as its strategic adviser.

The quirky seven-minute video, very different to the usual corporate schtick, runs through her “typical” day at work.

Bishop, who turns 66 on Sunday, shows off the state-of-the-art facilities at Mineral Resources’ new Perth headquarters, including a fitness centre, yoga deck, restaurant and sky garden.

But there’s no shortage of high fashion moments, from her “JBish” monogrammed robe, pink power suit and more than one dazzling evening gown.

“I wore my own outfits and accessories throughout the shoot,” Bishop told The Sunday Telegraph.

“The video was a collaborative effort with the Mineral Resources team, but I was given considerable latitude on the creative content, especially the scenes with Hugh Jackman and Kate Walsh.”

Bishop shows off her yoga talents, as well as her comedic side in the video, which also features actors Kate Walsh (inset top) and Hugh Jackman (inset bottom).

Highlights of the video include Bishop battling it out for a hair straightener with Grey’s Anatomy actor Kate Walsh, and a conference call drop-in by Wolverine star Hugh Jackman.

Bishop also shows off her next-level fitness, performing a headstand with the company’s head of mental health.

“This role continues my longstanding passion to support and empower women to have the opportunity to participate across the community,” Bishop said.

Mineral Resources managing director Chris Ellison said the company’s new headquarters would be the blueprint for future workplaces.

Bishop says she let her creativity free in the video.

“As the race to attract and retain the best talent intensifies, we know offerings like these are important when it comes to attracting new employees as well as retaining existing employees,” he said.

“It stands us apart and reinforces our commitment to our people, we are serious about putting the wellbeing of our people first.”

Bishop this week addressed employee graduates at Mineral Resources’ professional development program.

She appeared happy, smiling and laughing less than two weeks on from her break-up with long-term partner David Panton.
