DARLINGHURST is Sydney’s top performing suburb in the 2017 HSC, with students from SCEGGS, Sydney Boys, Girls and Sydney Grammar taking out the state’s top marks.
The 2027 postcode, which takes in Darling Point, Edgecliff and Point Piper, came in second to complete the inner city dominance of results.

The top 10 postcodes were mostly Sydney-based, but it wasn’t entirely an inner city affairs. Carlingford also performed well, with Carlingford High, Cumberland High School and James Ruse Agricultural High School in Carlingford scoring very high.
Bathurst, Wagga Wagga and Newcastle all returned solid results.
