THE former boyfriend of a woman charged with attempted murder over a violent home invasion in Sydney’s west died in a bikie arson attack two year ago.
Kristen Lee Moriarty, 28, faced Liverpool Local Court today with a black eye after she was arrested over the alleged stabbing attack in Bringelly on Monday night.
The incident has been described as “terrifying” by NSW Police detectives.
Moriarty said “I want to come home” and “I love you” to her supporters as she rose from her seat in the dock and pressed her hands against the glass.

Her alleged accomplice, 32-year-old Scott Stephen Keighran, who is facing identical charges, did not appear in court.
Neither of their lawyers made an application for bail and it was formally refused, however, Moriarty’s lawyer indicated a release application would be made on August 10.
He asked that she be assessed by a medical practitioner for her visible injuries in the meantime.
The matters were adjourned until September 17.
Vince Datillo, 44, was allegedly stabbed on Monday night before he staggered outside with a .308 Winchester rifle and fired two shots as Moriarty and Keighran fled in a car.
Keighran was hit and lost control of the car, crashing into a telegraph pole down the road, police have said.
The other stabbing victim, a 38-year-old woman, was in a serious but stable condition in hospital today. Mr Datillo was also in hospital under police guard.
A third person in the Bringelly residence on Monday night — another 44-year-old man — wasn’t harmed during the home invasion.
Moriarty’s former boyfriend died in a bikie arson attack two years ago. Harley McKenna was killed in June 2016 after he and an alleged Rebels bikie gang member threw petrol through a pub window in Emu Plains and lit it, News Corp Australia reported at the time.
The explosion left McKenna and his accomplice severely burned, with McKenna later dying from his injuries.
Moriarty has posted numerous tributes to her deceased lover on social media since his death.
“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to have this day back, to have you back,” she wrote on Instagram on what would have been McKenna’s 30th birthday.
