NSW Police have renewed their search for a man who glassed a patron in an “unprovoked and cowardly assault” at a Haymarket restaurant this year.

Police said the attacker struck the victim, 23, in the back of the head with a glass bottle, before snatching his glasses and throwing them at his face.

The victim suffered a serious laceration to the head and received 14 stitches at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Police are renewing an appeal for information as investigations continue into an alleged assault in Haymarket earlier this year, resulting in a serious laceration to the head.
