THREE Grafton Scouts have their hearts set on the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan during July 2015.
Ben Luxton, Rhiannon Winning and Taylor Gilmore need to raise $7000 each in order to attend the three-week-long event.
The Grafton Scouts are planning a number of fundraisers this year, including Bunnings sausage sizzles, raffles and car washes.
But the group is also looking for other opportunities to raise money.
They are willing to help out at events and are looking for sponsors.
One of the hopeful scouts, Ben Luxton, 12, said the jamboree would be a great learning experience.
"I'm looking forward to a cultural exchange and building leadership skills.
"We've done a few fund raisers so I know it will be hard work, but we really want to go," he said.
Ben's mother, Di Luxton, said the kids were keen to raise the funds.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the scouts to meet other youth from all around the world but we need the communities' support," Mrs Luxton said.
If you can provide support, a fundraising venue, raffle prize or sponsorship, contact Grafton Scout Group chairman Reece Luxton on 0427 279 717.
