Police seek help from public to identify man following robbery of video and tobacco shop on Prince St at Grafton

Months after a shop in the heart of Grafton was robbed, police have released images of a mystery man in hopes the public can ID him. Here’s what we know.

Months after a shop in the heart of Grafton was robbed, police have released images of a man wearing a Bundaberg Rum hat in hopes he can be identified by members of the public.

Police responded to a duress alarm at a video and tobacconist store on Prince St about 5.50pm on February 3.

Coffs-Clarence Police District officers were told at the scene that an unknown man entered the shop and threatened a shop attendant, demanding money and tobacco.

The attendant handed over the cash and the tobacco and the man fled the store.

He was last seen running north along Prince St.

Police set up a crime scene and inquiries into the robbery began.

As inquiries into the incident continue, investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries,” NSW police state.

The man is described as Caucasian, tall with a thin build and brown hair.

He was wearing black and yellow gloves and a Bundaberg Rum cap at the time.

Police urged anyone able to identify the man to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
