Strike Force Superior police tapped the phones of a trio of Coffs Harbour drug dealers after discovering they were part of a meth ring operating out of the Clarence and Coffs Coast.

Peter Rowleson faced Grafton Local Court on February 20.

The 32-year-old has pleaded guilty to six counts of supplying a prohibited drug, two counts of drug driving and one count of knife possession.

It came after Rowleson and his drug dealing co-offenders, Jack Holton Palmer and Jeremy Alexander Cooper, peddled methamphetamines between March and November last year, according to court documents.

Cooper and Palmer have also been found guilty for supplying a prohibited drug after police overheard Rowleson and Cooper discuss “wanting a b” and asking “what’s a half worth, 300?” during a phone call in March last year, the court documents state.

Police traced calls for more than eight months before arresting the trio.

Conversations between June and July last year involved Cooper and Rowleson discussing swapping “dots” for a ride or fuel – a street term for 0.1 gram of meth, documents state.

Rowleson was arrested by police on Pullen St, Grafton and taken to Grafton Police Station while officers raided his home in August last year.

Rowleson took part in a recorded interview with police and made admissions to supplying drugs, according to police.

The knife offence involves Rowleson walking into Coffs court with a knife concealed in his belt in June last year, the documents state.

Rowleson was detained by sheriffs and cautioned.

He said he was in the court to support a friend and the knife remained in his belt.

Police seized the weapon.

Rowleson’s case has been adjourned for sentencing on March 13.
