Grafton man tasered after wild rumble with police
A Grafton domestic violence perpetrator chewed off more than he could handle after a brawl with police ended in him being tasered.

A Grafton man who poured a carton of milk on his sleeping girlfriend and called her “a dumb f**king c**t”, was tasered by police when he pushed an officer through a flyscreened window as they struggled to arrest him.
Thomas James Page, 30, pleaded guilty at Grafton Local Court to twice contravening an apprehended violence order, three counts of damaging property, two charges of common assault and resisting police.
In 2020, Page woke his then-partner early in the morning, with a tirade of verbal abuse and threw her phone onto a tile floor, bending and cracking the screen, police facts state.
Officers found Page at his father’s house, where he was sitting on a porch.
“Dad, they want to arrest me,” Page called into the house, police facts state.
After a momentary stand-off, officers moved, grabbing the accused’s arms.
Police facts state Page struggled free, and put an officer in a headlock.
A senior constable then grabbed Page by his neck and shoulder - only to be driven backwards through the flyscreen of a front window.
“You’re f**king dead c**t,” Page yelled.
The wrestle continued until Page was tasered twice, and taken into custody.
According to court documents, Page contravened an AVO protecting his former-partner when he called her by phone in December.
She blocked his number, only for him to turn up at her house, verbally abusing her.
After taking a shower, he asked her if she’d like to lay in bed with him, but police facts state she was repulsed by scabs that spread across his back and arms.
Police arrived and found him sitting on the front lawn sobbing.
He began to yell and scream at the victim when he saw her showing police her cracked phone screen.
Page received an aggregate sentence of nine months on an Intensive Corrections Order, 60 hours of community service and an extension of the AVO protecting his former partner.
