A 50-year-old man faces Grafton Local Court today after he allegedly crashed into several cars while trying to flee the scene of an alleged break-in at Waterview Heights.

A Grafton man has been charged after he was allegedly disturbed breaking into a home before crashing into cars from Waterview Heights to Grafton while trying to escape from police.
Police allege that about 3.30pm on Monday the 50-year-old was breaking into a property on Exchange Road, Waterview Heights, when he was disturbed and attempted to flee from the scene.
The man got into a white Daewoo sedan and while trying to escape allegedly crashed into a number of vehicles in Waterview Heights and Grafton before dumping the vehicle at Crown and Villiers streets.
The man was found a short distance away where he was arrested and charged with break and enter, negligent driving and driving while disqualified. He was refused bail to appear in Grafton Local Court on Tuesday, where he was again refused bail. The matter will next be before court on April 26.
Coffs/Clarence Police District Chief Inspector Joanne Reid said investigations were continuing into the incident, and urged anyone who has found damage to their car in the Waterview Heights area to report it to Grafton Police on 6642 0222.
