GRAFTON'S iconic and charismatic Hubbard House is up for auction.
And it's certainly drawing plenty of attention from all walks of life.
Investors, neighbours, former owners and first-home buyer hopefuls have all been through the doors and have shown plenty of interest.
The 1870s period home was listed for auction last month with Leo Cameron and Tahleah Murphy at Bailey and Gough First National Real Estate.
In the first 24 hours of being advertised on www.realestate.com.au, the Hubbard House listing attracted 322 visits.
There have been three open houses to date, with people of all ages coming through the doors.
Mr Cameron said 32 groups had been to the open houses.
"It's a period home with the attributes of a newer home," Mr Cameron said.
"It would suit a diverse range of buyers and is a one-off property."
The property was rented for $360 a week but is now vacant.
It features high ceilings, a practical kitchen overlooking the backyard and the pool, an air-conditioned living room, entertainment area out the back and a lock-up shed inside a fully fenced yard.
"This home is an excellent example of architecture from the 1870s, with the practicality of modern day living," Mr Cameron said.
"The current owners purchased the property in 2009 but have since moved on, so now is the time to sell."
Hubbard House is open for inspection on Saturday from 10.30am to 11.15am, and on Wednesday, March 12, from 5.15pm to 5.45pm.
Hubbard House will go to auction on March 17 at 5.30pm in the Bailey and Gough First National Real Estate office.
Other properties up for auction on the night are 191 Pound St, Grafton and 252 Bent St, South Grafton.
