A Northern Rivers man who went on a month long crime spree across the region has pleaded guilty to all charges.
Nigel Richard Walker fronted Lismore District Court on Monday for 11 charges revolving around offences that lasted from May to October last year.
Walker pleaded guilty to all charges via video link.
The court heard Walker’s crime spree started about May 13 where he stole a blue Holden from a Casino property.
Walker then knowingly received stolen property from another person, which included car keys and credit cards.
On May 15, Walker used the blue Holden to lead police on a car chase in Armidale, “driving in a matter dangerous to others”.
That same day he also lit the car on fire, causing “intentional damage”.
But that wasn’t the end of Walker’s spree, with the man also pleading guilty to car theft in October.
On October 21, Walker broke into a Cabarita Beach property, stealing a silver Hyundai Getz.
A day later, October 22, he led police on another pursuit in the Hyundai Getz around the Murwillumbah area.
He then broke into a Bray Park residence that same day and stole another car, a white Hyundai 130.
Police allege Walker used the Hyundai 130 as an “offensive weapon to prevent lawful apprehension”.
Walker then led police on a final pursuit through Dunoon again using the Hyundai 130 as an “offensive weapon to prevent lawful apprehension” before he was apprehended.
A six-page fact sheet was filed before Lismore District Court and Judge Jeffrey McLennan ordered a sentence assessment report.
Magistrate McLennan ordered Walker face sentence at Lismore District Court on August 27.
Walker will be remanded in custody until then but will appear for sentencing in person.
