Covid cases, venues of concern reported in Northern NSW
Health authorities say four new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Grafton as new venues of concern are listed for Casino, Ballina and Lismore.

A person is being cared for in Lismore Base Hospital’s intensive care unit for Covid-19 as four new cases are reported in Northern NSW.
According to the Northern NSW Local Health District, the new cases were all in Grafton and were household contacts of previously confirmed cases.
They bring the number of positive cases in Grafton to 11.
There are currently four people hospitalised from the Delta outbreak, with a total of 73 cases confirmed.
New Covid-19 cases and venues of concern have been listed in Northern NSW as much of the state emerges from lockdown.
The venues at Casino, Ballina, South Lismore and Lismore have been listed as casual contact sites after being visited by a person with Covid-19.

Northern NSW Health District says a person with Covid-19 visited a Woolworths supermarket on October 3.
A person with the virus also visited the Coles supermarket in Ballina and the Metro Petrol Station on October 5 and Ritchies Supa IGA on October 6.
Other sites to be added include the South Lismore Post Office and Southside Hot Bread for October 5 as well as Lismore businesses Ongmac Trading, Aldi, Officeworks and Australia Post on October 6.

It comes after NSW Health announced 498 new cases and eight deaths from Covid-19 to 8pm October 10.
All close contacts are contacted directly and informed as part of the normal contact tracing processes, and must get tested and isolate for 14 days regardless of the results.
Casual Contacts must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

School closures
South Grafton Public and Ballina Public schools were closed on Monday after members of the school community tested positive for Covid.
An online post from South Grafton Public School said the school was non-operational on Monday for on-site attendance of staff and students to allow time for contact tracing and cleaning.
They said in response to questions from community members that further information regarding the closure would be distributed directly to parents.
Richmond Christian College stated through their Facebook site that the results of all contact tracing had been emailed to people affected.
