CLARENCE Valley clubs are expected to target Member for Page Janelle Saffin in a poster campaign against proposed changes to poker machine laws.
Yamba Bowling Club chief executive Phil Boughton confirmed the club would put up the posters which ask: "Janelle, why are you voting to hurt your community?"
At the centre of the debate is a proposal to introduce mandatory pre-commitments in which punters declare in advance how much they would be prepared to lose in a 24-hour period.
While clubs claim the laws will cause widespread closures, Families Minister Jenny Macklin has labelled the claims as myths based on Treasury research.
