Man critical after two-vehicle crash in Grafton

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after he crashed his bike into a car in the state’s north.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and car at the intersection of Mary and Bacon streets in Grafton, near Grafton Public School, about 5.40am on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old motorbike rider was treated at the scene for critical head, chest and limb injuries.
He was taken by to Grafton Hospital by ambulance before he was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in a critical condition.
The chopper’s critical care team provided further treatment on the way to the more well-equipped Queensland hospital.
The 48-year-old man driving the sedan did not suffer physical injuries.
He was taken to Grafton Hospital for mandatory alcohol and drug testing.
Coffs-Clarence Police District police officers have been assisted by specialist police as they investigate the crash.
