FESTIVALS, like most other events, products and services, express a brand of some sort or another. Whether it is created on purpose or occurs in a passive manner, a recognisable brand is the promise of a particular type of experience.
In all the years I've been attending Surfing The Coldstream Festival, that experience consists of a joyous, free-spirited and fully accessible event where locals fill the park atop Main Beach and create lasting memories while together watching brilliant bands and artists do their thing.
And when it comes to marketing and promotion, of course, we try to capture the essence of that brand promise in the way the event is presented. Hopefully you will have noticed our logo on stickers on the back of cars, posters in shop windows and the printed programs that are now available from businesses throughout the Clarence Valley.

Our logo, which features prominently on all these promotional materials, was designed by the clever folks at YooHoo McPhee and we think the 'thong guitar' does a great job of encapsulating the coastal and musical vibe. Over the years we have received numerous requests for a souvenir of the logo, so finally, due to popular demand, we've created a range of classic surf style T-shirts.
This limited run of T-shirts features three different festival logo colour schemes, meaning there are very few identical shirts, so you're unlikely to bump into someone sporting the same shirt around town!
Proceeds from sales help us cover the costs of this free community arts and music festival, so head to our website to order now. It's one T-shirt that's guaranteed to convey your own sense of joy and community spirit! We look forward to spotting our shirts in the crowd.
