CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS

Schoolchildren 12 years and over must wear a mask on any form of public transport, including the school bus. The Department of Education recommends masks for all students in Year 7 and above as well as all staff and teachers. Click here for more information.

Due to a rise in cases, the following restrictions are in place for NSW, including the Clarence Valley region:

  • People who have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after June 21 should follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney.
  • Visitors to households are limited to 5 guests – including children;
  • Masks are compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events;
  • Drinking while standing at indoor venues not allowed;
  • Singing by audiences and choirs at indoor venues or by congregants at indoor places of worship not allowed;
  • Dancing not be allowed at indoor hospitality venues or nightclubs. However, dancing is allowed at weddings for the wedding party only (no more than 20 people);
  • Dance and gym classes limited to 20 per class (masks must be worn);
  • The one person per four square metre rule reintroduced for all indoor and outdoor settings, including weddings and funerals;
  • Outdoor seated, ticketed events limited to 50 per cent seated capacity.

Queensland border restrictions:

If you have been in a declared COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days you will not be allowed to enter Queensland, except for a limited range of people who can enter for essential purposes.

You must complete a declaration to enter Queensland from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand that is not a declared COVID-19 hotspot. Queensland has two types of declarations, a Queensland Travel Declaration and a Queensland Border Declaration Pass.

Elsie Georgina Balfour
Late of Maclean. Passed away peacefully on July 12, 2021, aged 93 years. Relatives and friends of the late Elsie Balfour are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service to be held at St James Anglican Church, Wharf Street, Maclean on Thursday, July 22, commencing at 11am, followed by a service of burial at the Lower Clarence Lawn Cemetery, Townsend.

Fay Lorraine Shields
Late of Grafton, passed away July 10, 2021, aged 76 years. Relatives and friends of the late Fay Shields are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service to be held at the Clarence Lawn Cemetery, Armidale Road, Braunstone on Friday, July 16, commencing at 11.30am.

Coral Elsie Munro
Late of Woolford Island, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021, aged 91 years. A private service to be held.
